We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize thermal management solutions across our products and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capability, hands-on experience with thermal simulation tools, and a solid understanding of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop thermal management systems, including cooling architectures, heat exchangers, and thermal interfaces.
- Perform detailed thermal simulations (CFD, FEA) to predict temperature distribution, heat flow, and performance under various operating conditions.
- Conduct experimental testing and validation of thermal components using lab equipment such as thermal chambers, calorimeters, sensors, and DAQ systems.
- Evaluate thermal performance trade-offs and optimize designs for efficiency, cost, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and system engineering teams to integrate thermal solutions into products.
- Create technical documentation including thermal models, test reports, and design guidelines.
- Investigate thermal failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support prototype build and participate in Design Reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in R&D thermal management roles.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.
- Experience with thermal simulation tools such as ANSYS Icepak, Fluent, COMSOL, FloTHERM, or similar.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, etc.).
- Knowledge of thermal testing equipment and techniques.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical system requirements and convert them into thermal constraints.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with battery systems, e-mobility or renewable energy.
- Experience designing for manufacturability and reliability in production environments.
